French lifting equipment specialist adopts Centric Software platform to manage over 33,000 technical product references

Centric Software has announced the deployment of its Centric PXM™ solution by Groupe GODET to support product data management and digital transformation initiatives.

Founded in 1938, Groupe GODET specializes in equipment solutions for lifting, pulling, securing, handling, and working at height. The company manages a technical catalog containing more than 33,000 product references and sought to centralize and structure product data to improve operational efficiency and customer experience across multiple channels.

The deployment includes Centric PIM™ (Product Information Management), Centric DAM™ (Digital Asset Management), Centric Shoppingfeed® for content syndication, and Centric DSA™ (Digital Shelf Analytics). According to the company, the platform will function as a single repository designed to structure, enrich, and distribute technical product information.

Soumaya Dridi said the implementation of Centric PXM provides the group with a more reliable data foundation intended to support operational performance and future growth.

The new system is designed to centralize product information while supporting distribution across digital and commercial channels. The project also includes the development of a structured data model capable of managing the technical complexity of the company’s catalog.

According to the company, the new architecture is intended to improve governance, management, and usability of product information for internal teams and external partners.

The deployment is being carried out with support from Numendo, which specializes in product data structuring and governance. The project includes the creation of an evolving data model aligned with the group’s product hierarchy and technical specifications.

Centric PXM’s ActiveJobs functionality is also being used to automate selected processes and improve operational efficiency.

Charbel C. said the project focused on creating a coherent data model capable of managing multiple data sources and technical attributes while improving automation and data quality processes.

Fabrice Canonge said the project demonstrates how Centric PXM can support industrial and technical companies managing complex product catalogs as part of broader digital transformation efforts.
