Chicago — CB2, the contemporary home brand from Crate & Barrel, a Top 50 retailer, is pleased to present the Designer Collective as the collaborators behind its carefully chosen assortment of key products.

More than twenty designers, ranging in location from Melbourne to Barcelona, will be featured at the launch on August 8. Their work is both diverse and unique.

Ryan Turf, president of CB2, stated, “We are immensely proud to introduce the Designer Collective and share our well-honed network with our customers. CB2 has long worked with some of the world’s leading designers, but that has largely gone unnoticed.” “Our brand story would not be the same without our designers. We are able to produce collections that are both aesthetically pleasing and profoundly meaningful because of the distinct viewpoints and proficiencies of each member of the collective, demonstrating our commitment to pushing the frontiers of design and providing our clients with something truly exceptional.

For over ten years, CB2’s collections have been shaped by the talent of its designers. It all began in 2010 with a small group of designers who collaborated to create the first CB2 x Novogratz collection. From there, the brand expanded to include official reissues with the estates of legendary global designers, like the first reissue featuring Paul McCobb in 2021. For CB2’s current and next seasonal collections, more than 50 different studios will provide designs.

Officials claim that the collective’s varied composition of design ideologies enables CB2 to assemble and host unrivaled access to inventive pieces and high-quality design, ranging from the material-made silhouettes of Bremen-based designer Jannis Ellenberger to the unusual forms from Caleb Zipperer.

The members of the Design Collective are: Glenn Lawson and Grant Fenning of Lawson-Fenning; Laura Blasco, Juanmi Juarez, and Alex Estevez of Mermelada Estudio; Jannis Ellenberger; Jennifer Stady of Laundry Studio; Caleb Zipperer; Brett Beldock; Molly Fitzpatrick; and Silvana Azzi Heras of House of Heras. Evan Jerry of Studio Anansi is among them. Ross Cassidy, Kara Mann, Farrah Sit, Glenn Lawson and Grant Fenning of Lawson-Fenning, and Jennifer Stady of Studio Anansi are among them.
