Humanscale has launched its Refreshed circularity programme in India through S Cube Ergonomics Pvt Ltd., its Indian manufacturing and distribution partner. The initiative offers refurbished ergonomic chairs as an alternative to new furniture, helping extend product life and reduce waste.
The programme focuses on restoring selected Humanscale chairs through professional refurbishment. Each chair undergoes inspection, cleaning, sanitisation, functional testing and necessary repairs. Worn components are replaced with approved parts where required. A final quality check is completed before delivery.
Humanscale has also implemented circularity initiatives with organisations including Wells Fargo, TESCO, NVIDIA, VISA, PayPal and Pegasystems. These initiatives involve collecting used chairs for responsible management or refurbishing and returning them to workplaces for further use.
Refreshed Chairs Available in India
The current collection includes three Humanscale models: Freedom Headrest, Freedom Task and Liberty. The company plans to add more workplace products, including task chairs, height-adjustable desks and monitor arms.
Alastair Stubbs, Country Director India at Humanscale, said the programme reflects the company’s commitment to sustainability through durable design and reuse.
Sathish Nandagopal, Founder and Director of S Cube Ergonomics Pvt Ltd., said the programme aims to reduce waste and conserve materials while maintaining product quality, safety and ergonomic standards.
Through Refreshed, Humanscale is expanding its circularity approach in India by giving selected ergonomic chairs an extended lifecycle and offering customers another option for workplace furniture.
