IKEA Expands Its Texas Presence
New Stores Coming to Pharr and Dallas in 2025
Conshohocken, Pa. – IKEA U.S., one of the nation’s Top 50 retailers, has announced exciting plans for further expansion in Texas with the opening of two new small-format stores by the end of this year. This expansion will increase the company’s footprint in the Lone Star State, bringing IKEA’s total number of stores in Texas to 12.
The first of the two new locations will open in Pharr, Texas, located in the Rio Grande Valley, this fall. The 44,000-square-foot store will offer a carefully curated selection of home furnishings and decor, providing customers in the region with a more convenient shopping experience. Shortly thereafter, IKEA will unveil a second location in Dallas, specifically in the University Park neighborhood. This two-story, small-format store will feature a modern shopping experience that blends both in-store and online shopping options.
“At IKEA, we are committed to creating a better everyday life for the many people, and one of the key ways we do that is by bringing our stores closer to where people live, work, socialize, and shop,” said Javier Quiñones, CEO & Chief Sustainability Officer, IKEA U.S. “These new stores are designed to be more convenient for customers, with enhanced store formats and affordable delivery options that better connect us with people in their daily lives.”
Once both locations are open, these stores will offer a wide range of products for immediate takeaway, alongside the full IKEA catalog available for online orders, free store pickups, and home delivery at a minimal fee. The Pharr location will also feature IKEA’s signature Swedish Bite concept, providing hot and cold food options for customers to grab a quick meal on the go or take home.
