Conshohocken, Pennsylvania — Ikea U.S., a Top 50 retailer, anticipates opening a third full-sized location in the Dallas-Fort Worth area by December 2025.

In Rockwall, on the eastern outskirts of the metro region, the company, which is a member of the Swedish furniture manufacturing and retailing firm, plans to establish a 108,875-square-foot store. It will open beside businesses in Frisco and Grand Prairie.

Ben Sandoval, manager of the market area, told Furniture Today, “We’re committed to connecting with people where they live and where they work.” “We can connect with customers from Little Rock and Texarkana as well as Dallas thanks to Rockwall. Both our clients and ourselves stand to gain greatly from this opportunity.

Consumers will have the option to buy affordable, sustainable, and organized products both in-store and to-go. Larger furniture pieces, such beds and couches, will be available for in-store pickup or delivery. The new Swedish Deli concept, a Swedish cafe for on-site dining, and a Swedish Bistro for quick takeout that can be enjoyed at home or in the outdoor seating area will all showcase Ikea Food, including the brand’s well-known meatballs.

“We have a straightforward expansion goal. Ikea U.S. CEO and chief sustainability officer Javier Quiñones stated, “We will be where people are, whenever they want, and however they want to experience Ikea.” In order to improve customer convenience, lower the cost of home delivery, and reach our consumers where they live, work, and socialize, we have been experimenting with various store layouts. Ikea Rockwall is a significant turning point in this continuous process.

There will be several fully furnished room sets to choose from in the area. These areas will highlight “local living” solutions that cater to the particular daily requirements of the local population and its environs. Ikea Rockwall’s design will also incorporate elements for greater sustainability, such as solar energy, LEED-certified building, EV chargers, on-site recycling, and water-saving native plant materials.

“We have a strong commitment to the areas where we do business. Rob Parsons, area market manager for Ikea U.S., stated, “We are excited to welcome locals and neighbors to this new Ikea experience. Ikea Rockwall offers an even more seamless omnichannel shopping experience throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth metro area.”

This opening, according to Sandoval, is a component of Ikea’s strategy to increase accessibility, affordability, and convenience. Before this shop opened, he added, to get the entire Ikea experience, consumers from the rural areas of northeastern Texas and Arkansas would have to visit the Frisco store.

“We are thrilled to be opening soon and bringing our Rockwall customers closer,” he stated.
