Indian Heritage Returns to 19th HGH India, Showcasing Traditional Crafts and Artisan Skills

The Indian Heritage initiative by HGH India will return at the 19th edition of the trade show, scheduled from June 30 to July 3, 2026, at the Bombay Exhibition Centre, Mumbai. The platform is designed to present the skills of Indian artisans, craftsmen and weavers to the trade community while highlighting traditional craft forms from across the country.

Over the past ten editions, Indian Heritage has served as a platform showcasing various forms of Indian craftsmanship, including handicrafts, painting, embroidery, pottery, woodwork, weaving and metal art. These traditional skills continue to find applications in contemporary home décor, textiles, houseware and gifting segments.

The dedicated exhibition zone aims to connect traditional craft practices with retail and business opportunities, supporting the preservation of heritage skills while expanding market access and design relevance. The initiative also focuses on promoting sustainable growth within the craft sector.

A key feature of the Indian Heritage zone will be live craft demonstrations by master craftsmen and National Awardees. Visitors will have the opportunity to observe traditional techniques being practiced on the exhibition floor.

Among the participating artisans is Raisuddin, known for ceramic pots and Khurja pottery. Sumar Khatri will present Rogan art, a painting tradition with a history spanning more than 400 years. Rakesh Petigara will showcase Surat’s GI-tagged Saadeli Wood Craft, while Sagar Kumar Singh will demonstrate detailed metal carving techniques.

At the 19th edition of HGH India, retailers, institutional buyers and gift buyers will be able to source products from a wide range of categories, including handicrafts, handwoven textiles, ethnic décor, jute and coir products, pottery, woodcraft and metal artistry. These products will be displayed across three exhibition halls.

The Indian Heritage initiative is supported by the Ministry of Textiles, Ministry of MSME, Government of India, the State Governments of Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Haryana, along with various government and private institutions.
