The Confederation of Indian Textile Industry (CITI) has released its latest analysis of India’s textile and apparel (T&A) trade performance for March 2025, highlighting key trends in exports and imports.
In March 2025, Indian textile exports declined by 5.81% compared to March 2024. However, apparel exports saw a growth of 3.97% during the same period.
Cumulative exports of textiles and apparel in March 2025 recorded an overall decline of 1.63% over the previous year.
For the financial year April 2024 to March 2025, Indian textile exports grew by 3.61%, while apparel exports rose by a robust 10.03% over the previous fiscal.
The combined export growth of textiles and apparel during Apr’24–Mar’25 stood at 6.32%, compared to the same period in 2023–24.
This performance reflects the resilience and recovery trajectory of India’s textile and apparel sector amidst global trade dynamics.
