Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics is set to return from 9–11 June 2026, placing textile innovation at the core of its upcoming edition. The fair aligns with Shenzhen’s growing reputation as a hub for fashion technology, where AI is increasingly integrated into design, inspection, production, and digital commerce across the garment industry.
Organised by Messe Frankfurt and its partners, the event will provide a dynamic platform for exhibitors to tap into the expanding garment sector of South China and the Greater Bay Area (GBA).
Driving Innovation Through AI and Technology
This year’s edition introduces two key initiatives—Innovation Studio and Future Horizons forum—designed to highlight cutting-edge developments in textiles and fashion technology. These additions build on the fair’s ongoing momentum in promoting AI-driven transformation across the industry.
The event also aligns with Messe Frankfurt’s global “Texpertise Focus AI” initiative, aimed at integrating artificial intelligence across its network of over 60 textile fairs worldwide.
Shenzhen and the wider GBA, including nearby hubs like Dongguan and Guangzhou, are rapidly advancing in AI adoption, enhancing efficiency, sustainability, and global competitiveness in apparel manufacturing.
A Strategic Hub for Global Participation
Located in Shenzhen’s Futian district, the fair offers strong connectivity to major textile and fashion hubs such as Hong Kong and Dongguan. With China’s expanded visa-free policies and improved transit access, the event is expected to attract a wide range of international buyers and industry professionals.
The previous edition recorded nearly 40,000 visits from 64 countries and regions, reflecting its growing global appeal.
Showcasing the Future of Textiles
Building on earlier features like The Closet, which showcased sustainable materials and emerging designers, the 2026 edition will further enhance innovation visibility through the Innovation Studio, presenting advanced materials, textile solutions, and design concepts.
Meanwhile, the Future Horizons forum will provide insights into emerging trends across design, technology, business, and sustainability—offering valuable knowledge for manufacturers, designers, and suppliers.
The fair will cover a comprehensive range of product categories, including:
- Fibres and yarns
- Fabrics and garments
- Accessories across womenswear, casualwear, denim, suiting, sportswear, swimwear, and lingerie
Innovation will serve as the unifying theme, connecting all segments of the exhibition.
Industry Impact and Outlook
With strong participation from research institutes and technology providers, the event continues to foster collaboration and innovation. AI-driven solutions are already demonstrating their ability to enhance efficiency and streamline traditional processes, attracting significant interest from manufacturers and designers alike.
Held alongside Yarn Expo Shenzhen and PH Value, Intertextile Shenzhen remains a key platform for unveiling trends, technologies, and business opportunities shaping the future of the textile industry.
