Intex Bangladesh 2025 Showcases Global Textile Power

Intex Bangladesh 2025: A Grand Success for Textile & Apparel Sector

The 16th edition of Intex—South Asia’s premier international textile sourcing exhibition—was successfully hosted from 25th to 27th June 2025 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB), Dhaka, Bangladesh. The event once again proved its stature as a dynamic platform for cross-border textile collaboration and sourcing innovation.

The Grand Opening Ceremony on 25th June witnessed the presence of notable dignitaries, global exhibitors, and key trade associations. The welcome address was delivered by Ms. Arti Bhagat, Executive Director, Worldex India, followed by the formal inauguration by Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh, as Chief Guest. He was joined by Mr. Md. Anwar Hossain, Vice-Chairman, EPB, as Guest of Honour.

Prominent voices from the textile community, including Mr. Amal Poddar (Sr. Vice President, BKMEA), Mr. Faisal Samad (Sr. Vice President, BGMEA), Mr. A.K.M. Saifur Rahman (Vice President, BGBA), and Mr. Murali Balkrishna (Joint Director, TEXPROCIL) shared their insights. Also in attendance were presidents from bilateral chambers such as LABCCI, KBCCI, BGCCI, and USBCCI. The inauguration ended with felicitation, a group photograph, ribbon cutting, a VIP tour, and closing remarks by Mr. Rajesh Bhagat, Chairman & MD, Worldex India.

This year’s edition brought together exhibitors from over 10 countries, including India, China, South Korea, Japan, Thailand, Germany, and host nation Bangladesh. A vast spectrum of textile innovations were showcased—ranging from sustainable yarns and functional fabrics to digital prints, trims, denim, and knits.

With 6,890 trade visitors and buyers from 22+ countries, including Canada, Germany, Indonesia, France, Japan, China, the USA, UK, Italy, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and more, the exhibition facilitated hundreds of impactful B2B meetings and curated sourcing dialogues—fostering long-term strategic partnerships.

With its consistent commitment across 16 successful editions, the show has become an invaluable platform supporting export diversification and enhancing Bangladesh’s presence in the global marketplace. Initiatives like Intex are essential in deepening and expanding our nation’s export potential,” said Mr. Mahbubur Rahman, Secretary, Ministry of Commerce, Government of Bangladesh.

Thought Leadership & Knowledge Sharing

The Interactive Business Forum (IBF) provided two expert sessions across the event’s second and third days:

  • Day 1 (26th June): A panel titled “AI & Adaptability of Technology: Reinventing the Fabric of Tomorrow” explored the integration of AI across the textile value chain—from smart manufacturing and forecasting to sustainable design.

 

  • Speakers included Mr. Minhazul Hoque (BKMEA), Mr. Abrar Hossain Sayem (BAYLA), Mr. Ahsan Mahmood (Nordic Sourcing), Ms. Aurélie Rob (Otto International), and Mr. Md. Mahbubur Rahman (R&G 3rd Eye). The session was moderated by Mr. Mohammad Monower Hossain (TEAM Group), with a call for collaborative tech adoption to boost traceability and resilience.

 

  • Day 2 (27th June): The session “Tariffs & Industry Outlook: Unlocking the Risks & Opportunities” focused on the global tariff climate, trade challenges, and Bangladesh’s strategic positioning in the RMG sector.
    Speakers included Mr. Mohammed Sohel (BGMEA), Mr. AKM Saifur Rahman Farhad (BGBA), Mr. Mohammad Sohel Sadat (Shin Shin Group), Mr. Md Jasim Uddin (Texture BD / BAYLA), and Mr. Masud Kabir (Motex Fashion). Mr. Azam Saiful (TJS Consultants) moderated the discussion, which emphasized the urgency for policy realignment and export diversification.

 

Throughout its three-day run, Intex Bangladesh 2025 emerged not just as a global textile sourcing event but also as a forward-looking platform for industry transformation—driving conversations around sustainability, AI, innovation, and global market expansion.

The response from attendees was overwhelmingly positive. International exhibitors praised the buyer engagement and strategic business potential, while Bangladeshi participants appreciated the role of Intex in strengthening the country’s image as a reliable and future-ready sourcing destination.

As this successful edition concludes, Worldex India expressed gratitude to all dignitaries, chambers, partners, exhibitors, buyers, and stakeholders for making Intex Bangladesh 2025 a major milestone. The industry now looks forward to Intex Bangladesh 2026, which promises to bring even greater innovation, global synergy, and sourcing opportunities.
