Michael Habachy, an Egyptian interior designer based in Atlanta, has teamed up with rug firm Jaipur Living to create a new rug line that will debut at the forthcoming High Point Market.
Through this collaboration, Jaipur Living’s commitment to workmanship and Habachy’s sophisticated design sense are combined to create an opulent and comfortable line of handwoven and undyed wool carpets.
Throughout his more than 20-year career, Habachy has established a reputation for designing opulent, customized rooms that capture his customers’ distinct interests and lifestyles. According to Jaipur, he is still in high demand as a designer for both residential and commercial projects, and his work has appeared in many magazines.
Gamil, which means “beautiful” in Egyptian, is the collection’s name. Habachy has made his ancestry the focal point
“It is a privilege to collaborate with Jaipur Living, a business that shares my enthusiasm for designing aesthetically pleasing and useful spaces,” Habachy remarked. “This collection accurately captures my background and design philosophies. Making someone feel connected, calm, safe, and at home is my aim with this collection.
A carefully chosen assortment of carpets that showcase Habachy’s distinctive style are part of the cooperation. According to Asha Chaudhury, CEO of Jaipur Living, each piece is painstakingly made, demonstrating the company’s dedication to sustainability and artisanal methods.
The showroom of Jaipur Living can be found in spaces 4B, 4N, and 4P of the C&D Building.
