JQueen New York, a fashion-focused home textiles design business, has promoted many important internal employees and hired a new boss.
After ten years with the company, Ron Batroff was promoted to President. His most recent positions were Chief Marketing Officer and EVP.
Buddy Gordon is now the Executive Vice President of Sales. Another veteran of J. Queen, he was once in charge of major accounts.
Michael Kaplan, a seasoned home textiles executive, has been brought on by the business to head its new JQCompany segment, which will concentrate on private label and captive brands. Prior to this, he served as President of Royal Heritage Home. Before that, he held the position of President for the Bloomcraft Home segment at P/Kauffman, a fabric firm.
“Michael joined our team at a favorable moment,” stated Tony Cassella, CEO. “We are ecstatic to have him.
All three answer directly to Julie Brady, the company founder, and Cassella.
Cassella mentioned that JQueen has lately promoted people in its operations, finance, and design departments.
“We were able to restructure the business in a way that would support that growth because of the expansion and other developments in the industry,” he stated.
Between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, at 37 W. 20th St., is where JQueen’s headquarters and showroom are situated.
