New platform expands digital apparel production capabilities ahead of FESPA 2026 in Barcelona

Kornit Digital announced the commercial availability of its Atlas MATRIX platform following the completion of a global beta program conducted across production facilities in Europe and North America. The announcement was made ahead of FESPA 2026 in Barcelona.

The Atlas MATRIX platform expands the capabilities of the company’s Atlas MAX PLUS system into polyester, blended and sublimated fabrics. According to the company, the platform is designed to support production across multiple fabric types within a single workflow while maintaining retail-quality output and industrial-scale productivity.

Recently introduced at Konnec6ons 2026, Atlas MATRIX incorporates Kornit’s Karbon Shield process, developed to enable direct decoration on polyester and sublimated garments while addressing dye migration challenges associated with digital production. The platform allows transitions between cotton, polyester and blended fabrics without changing production systems.

Kornit Digital stated that the platform has already undergone validation through production use with multiple customers across Europe and North America. Early users reported improvements in print quality, hand feel, operational efficiency and expanded production capabilities.

“The apparel industry is rapidly shifting toward agile, on-demand production models that require far greater flexibility, efficiency and responsiveness,” said Ronen Samuel. “Atlas MATRIX represents a major step forward for the industry, enabling our customers to expand into new applications, simplify production and accelerate the transition to digital manufacturing at scale. The early feedback and production results we are seeing from customers are extremely encouraging. We have already generated a strong backlog of upgrade demand from our existing install base, alongside new system demand from both existing and new customers, further validating the market opportunity and excitement around the platform.”

Companies participating in the global beta program included providers involved in print-on-demand, customized apparel and fulfillment operations.

“We are already shifting meaningful polyester production volumes to Atlas MATRIX,” said Frederik Huhn. “We are particularly impressed with the possibility of direct printing on dye sublimated shirts, allowing us to decorate these highly visible and important but tricky items in a single step with the highest quality. The Atlas MATRIX will allow us to capture opportunities that were not accessible before.”

Rodney McDonald added: “Atlas MATRIX significantly expands what we can offer customers while simplifying production. The quality, feel and versatility we are seeing are extremely impressive.”

The company stated that Atlas MATRIX supports localized and on-demand manufacturing models across a broader range of apparel applications. Live demonstrations of the system will be held during FESPA 2026 at booth 3A95.
