Live Comfortably is planning to acquire the Kate Spade Home fashion business currently operated by Simply Interior Homes (SIH), as the latter proceeds with the liquidation of its assets under Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings.

The two companies emerged from the former Keeco business, which was the original U.S. licensee for Kate Spade soft home products. In February 2025, Simply Interior Homes became a separate entity through a carve-out process, retaining Keeco’s fashion home textile businesses, including top-of-bed, bath and window categories.

Keeco subsequently rebranded as Live Comfortably in March 2025, retaining its U.S. utility bedding manufacturing facilities, sourcing infrastructure and retail relationships.

Following the separation, SIH continued producing Kate Spade fashion home products, while the master license remained with Live Comfortably. The license covers utility bedding, fashion bedding, bath products and accessories.

Live Comfortably Seeks Kate Spade Inventory Acquisition

Live Comfortably has moved to acquire SIH’s existing Kate Spade inventory, along with in-transit products that have not yet become the property of SIH. The proposed acquisition remains subject to approval by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of Delaware.

According to the court filing, the Kate Spade inventory is valued at more than $1.26 million. The inventory includes fashion bedding, sheets, decorative pillows, towels, bath mats and shower curtains.

The move would enable Live Comfortably to consolidate the Kate Spade Home business under the company that already holds the master license.

Kate Spade Home Business to Continue

According to Brian Cassady, CEO of Live Comfortably, the company intends to continue selling Kate Spade fashion home categories under the existing master license.

Subject to court approval, Live Comfortably plans to re-engage with existing Kate Spade product vendors and work directly with the brand’s retail customers.

The proposed transaction marks another development in the restructuring of the businesses that formed the former Keeco portfolio. For Live Comfortably, taking control of the Kate Spade inventory and associated business activities could provide a more integrated approach to managing the fashion home brand across its licensed categories.

The company’s plans remain dependent on the bankruptcy court’s approval of the proposed inventory acquisition.
