Continuing its commitment to global expansion, Milano Unica will return to Shanghai from September 2 to 4, 2025, with a curated selection of 23 leading Italian textile manufacturers at Intertextile Apparel Fabrics, one of Asia’s premier trade fairs for the fashion industry.

Hosted at the National Exhibition and Convention Center, this high-profile presence reaffirms Milano Unica’s strategic role in strengthening the international positioning of Made-in-Italy textiles. The event is organized in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency (ICE), which plays a pivotal role in promoting Italian excellence abroad.

Visitors at Intertextile will explore Fall/Winter 2026–2027 collections, showcasing a rich diversity of luxury fabrics—from high-end menswear woolens to elegant womenswear textiles. The 450 sqm pavilion will serve as a celebration of Italian craftsmanship, cutting-edge innovation, and the enduring appeal of sustainability in textile design.

Despite a marginal dip in textile exports to China in 2024, the market remains strategically vital for Italy. Chinese consumers continue to seek products that deliver on the core pillars of quality, innovation, creativity, and environmental consciousness—all hallmarks of Italian textile tradition.

“Milano Unica Shanghai, a not-to-be-missed event for industry operators, has further strengthened the connection between Italian textile excellence and the new generation of Chinese consumers, who are demanding, curious, sensitive to sustainability, and ready to recognize Made-in-Italy products as symbols of authenticity and innovation,”

Augusto Di Giacinto, Director, ICE Shanghai

Building on the success of Milano Unica’s 41st edition in Milan, which recorded a 10% increase in international exhibitors compared to July 2024, the Shanghai edition sets the stage for renewed dialogue with one of the world’s most dynamic fashion markets.

“Milano Unica Shanghai is a key opportunity for us to strengthen our dialogue with one of the most attentive and promising markets, a market that views Made in Italy production as a benchmark for quality and innovation,”

Simone Canclini, President, Milano Unica

This participation underscores Milano Unica’s unwavering mission to support Italian manufacturers on the global stage, aligning traditional excellence with evolving international trends and sustainability goals.
