Mohawk Home is experiencing a number of firsts this season, including presenting items from its acquisition of Foss Floors, showcasing a collection under the recently signed Salt Life license, and taking part in the New York Home Fashions Market for the first time since the pandemic.
John McLeod, senior vice president of sales, expressed his excitement to HTT. “With innovations and fascinating new business opportunities for our customers, we’re investing in our future.” ‘Made in America,’ sustainability, fashion, and high quality continue to be core values of our brand.”
Since purchasing Foss Floors in 2022, one of the top non-woven producers in the US, Mohawk Home has been introducing its non-woven products during this season. The products offered include utility mats, garage runners, indoor/outdoor area rugs, and carpet tiles; all are made with cutting-edge machinery and cutting-edge technology.
Highlights include recycled polyester non-woven outdoor area rugs and amusing sports field rugs, which are printed polyester pieces shaped like football and soccer fields.
Every item in the collection, according to McLeod, is practical and starts at a price that mass retail chain buyers can afford. “In terms of both product mix and customer base, Foss Floors represent a significant expansion for us.”
By that, he refers to both the new business with converters and the increased business with current retail partners.
Foss Floors was developing rapidly when Mohawk Home acquired the company, and he stated, “We’re continuing on that path, growing the business by double digits over the coming years.” The formidable sales force of Foss, which has joined Mohawk Home, is lending support to the cause.
According to McLeod, “their manufacturing process is unique in the industry.” “Foss was the only non-woven competitor with comparable quality.”
These and other new products are on display in Mohawk Home’s headquarters showroom in Manhattan, which is situated at 125 West 25 St.
