Company to showcase finishing, coating and continuous dyeing technologies in Istanbul
Türkiye continues to remain one of the major markets for textile finishing, coating and continuous dyeing equipment, with Monforts set to participate in ITM 2026 from June 9-13 in Istanbul. At stand 1117D in Hall 11, the company will present its latest technologies for conventional dyeing and finishing while also focusing on developments in the technical textiles segment.
The company stated that Turkish textile manufacturers are increasingly exploring opportunities in technical textiles, supported by demand for advanced finishing and coating technologies.
Among the systems being highlighted are the Montex stenters, which are used for drying, stretching, heat-setting and coating applications. According to the company, the machines continue to be widely used across denim, home textiles and technical textile manufacturing, with emphasis on production throughput and energy efficiency.
Monforts will also present its Thermex continuous dyeing ranges, designed for high productivity, dyeing consistency and reduced energy consumption. The Thermex system combines application technology with process controls intended to improve dye penetration and colour reproducibility during long production runs.
The company noted that smaller lot sizes in continuous dyeing are increasing demand for simplified processing methods. Thermex systems therefore frequently utilise the Econtrol® process for reactive dyestuffs, developed jointly by Monforts and DyStar. The process operates as a one-pass pad-dry-wash continuous dyeing system with drying in the hotflue at 120-130°C and controlled humidity of 25-30% by volume to achieve fixation within two-to-three minutes.
Additional technologies in the company’s product range include DynAir relaxation dryers and Monfortex compressive shrinking ranges. Recent line installations in Türkiye include projects at Altoteks, Altun, İlay Textile, Kücüker, Kipas Denim, Palmiye, Seher and Rose Fabric.
The company also highlighted growing demand for retrofit projects due to the long operational life of Monforts machinery. These retrofit upgrades involve integrating updated control and drive systems aimed at improving machine performance beyond routine spare-part replacement.
Retrofit options include the Energy Tower heat recovery system, the Eco Booster heat recovery technology for existing Montex stenters, and the Matex Eco Applicator, which serves as an alternative to conventional padding processes for energy-conscious finishing operations.
In the technical textiles segment, Monforts will additionally focus on coating technologies including the MontexCoat, coaTTex and VertiDry systems. The company stated that textile manufacturers in the region are exploring applications in tents, awnings, sailcloth, blackout blinds, automotive interiors, filter media, flame-retardant barrier fabrics and reinforcement materials for composite parts.
“In Türkiye we are very strongly supported by our representative Neotek, our solution partner on the ground for service, installation and commissioning, providing specialised and rapid help to all of our customers,” said Thomas Päffgen. “ITM is always one of the most important exhibitions for Monforts, for meeting customers not just from Türkiye, but across the Middle East and Central Asia, as well as Bangladesh, India and Pakistan, and Istanbul’s centralised position makes it accessible to the majority of the major textile manufacturing hubs, providing us with the ideal platform for a fruitful five days.”
