Notwithstanding 16.66% revenue growth, TRIDENT LTD REPORTS A 19.1%

Trident Ltd, a textile company, reported a 19.1% decrease in its consolidated profit after tax for the first quarter of FY25, to Rs 73.89 crore. According to a regulatory filing from Trident, the business reported a consolidated profit after tax of Rs 91.34 crore for the April–June quarter of last year. Nonetheless, in the June quarter, its operating revenue rose 16.66 per cent to Rs 1,742.71 crore. A year ago, it was worth Rs 1,493.71 crore.

The June quarter saw a 19.7% increase in total expenses to Rs 1,655.59 crore. It made Rs 960.70 crore from the yarn business and Rs 615.34 crore from the towel industry. Trident made Rs 248.38 crore from paper and chemicals and Rs 357.84 crore from the bedsheets business. Its overall revenue increased 16.77 percent to Rs 1,757.58 crore in the June quarter. A year prior, it was Rs 1,505.08 crore. On Wednesday, Trident Ltd.’s shares closed at Rs. 37.44 on the BSE, up 1.22%.
