On the list of the best stores, JCPenney is ranked first

McLean, Virginia— JCPenney won the top spot in USA Today’s 10Best Readers’ Choice Award for Best Department Store for the second consecutive year.

A panel of editors from USA Today 10Best selected the category’s nominees, which comprised department retailers, discounters, and off-pricers. For four weeks, the people could cast their ballots.

“We are proud that consumers are paying attention, and this award reaffirms our confidence in our reinvestment progress.” CEO Marc Rosen added, “Everything we have worked toward is coming together.”

According to USA Today, “a good department store offers one-stop shopping for just about everyone on your list owing to a wide variety of products, which takes some of the stress out of shopping for gifts.”
