Outlast Technologies GmbH has unveiled Bailey, an advanced textile innovation designed to deliver an instant cooling sensation upon touch. From the very first interaction, the material stands out with its remarkably cool feel, positioning itself beyond conventional fabrics.

This distinctive cooling effect is achieved through a carefully engineered combination of high heat absorption capacity and a naturally cool surface. Bailey instantly absorbs excess body heat, creating immediate comfort—especially beneficial in warm environments and applications involving direct skin contact.

At the core of this innovation lies the integration of Outlast® Temperature Regulation technology with a Lyocell-based fabric. Known for its smooth texture and inherent cool-touch properties, Lyocell enhances the sensory experience, while Outlast® technology further amplifies the effect. With high effusivity, the fabric delivers a refreshing and noticeably cool feel that surprises users.

Beyond the initial cooling sensation, Bailey continues to actively regulate temperature. With an impressive heat storage capacity of 7,500 J/m², the material absorbs, stores, and releases heat as required. This dynamic thermal management helps reduce temperature fluctuations, minimize sweating, and maintain a balanced microclimate for enhanced comfort.

Sustainability remains a key pillar of Bailey’s development. The Lyocell fibers are sourced primarily from renewable raw materials and require significantly less water compared to conventional cotton production. Additionally, the temperature-regulating capsules use bio-based wax derived from renewable sources, offering an environmentally responsible alternative to fossil-based materials.

Aesthetically, Bailey features a clean, lightweight appearance with a fine and uniform structure, reflecting both premium quality and a sense of freshness that aligns with its functional benefits.

Manufactured in Europe, Bailey meets stringent environmental and quality standards. Certifications such as OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 Class 1 and OEKO-TEX® MADE IN GREEN validate its safety for direct skin contact and its commitment to transparent, responsible production processes.

Thanks to its versatile properties, Bailey is suitable for a wide range of applications, including bedding, orthopedic products, industrial linings, and various next-to-skin textile solutions.

With Bailey, Outlast Technologies delivers a material where performance is instantly experienced—offering a tangible cooling effect that enhances both consumer appeal and everyday comfort.
