Pearl Global Industries Limited (PGIL) has expanded its operations in Bangladesh.
The company has started a new garment manufacturing unit. It has also expanded its laundry operations in the country.
The new unit will add about 7 million pieces each year. This will take Pearl Global’s total installed capacity to about 108 million pieces per year.
New Unit in Bangladesh
The new unit will increase garment production in Bangladesh. It will also support the company’s global customer base.
Bangladesh is an important market for Pearl Global. The country has a strong garment industry. It also has a skilled workforce.
Pearl Global plans to use this local industry base to support its growth. The new unit will also add to its wider production network.
Laundry Capacity Expanded
Pearl Global has also increased its in-house laundry capacity.
The new laundry capacity will support the company’s production needs. It is also expected to improve efficiency.
The company expects lower washing costs from the expansion. It also expects to reduce water use.
Pearl Global expects the project to generate a ROCE of about 18–20%.
