Pottery Barn Teen, a division of home furnishings giant Williams-Sonoma Inc., has introduced a new customer-centric initiative called Dorm Concierge — a free, personalized service aimed at streamlining the dorm shopping experience for students and their families. The service supports Pick Up Near Campus orders, providing a tailored and hassle-free solution for back-to-school shopping.

Once customers choose the “Pick Up Near Campus” option while ordering dorm essentials, they are assigned a dedicated customer service representative. This representative manages the entire process: offering timely updates, coordinating logistics, and handling any last-minute changes.

The Dorm Concierge program enhances Pottery Barn Teen’s already robust customer support offerings, which include:

  • Free interior design services

  • A mobile app

  • A visualizer for bedding setup

  • Wishlist tools for planning dorm room layouts

The Pick Up Near Campus feature itself allows orders to be placed in advance and picked up from over 450 Williams-Sonoma affiliated stores — including Pottery Barn, West Elm, Pottery Barn Kids, and more. Items can be held for up to 30 days after the selected pick-up date, offering added flexibility during move-in season.

Jennifer Kellor, President of Pottery Barn Teen, emphasized that dorm life is a major milestone for students, and the Dorm Concierge service reflects the brand’s mission to simplify the transition through well-designed products and personalized service. The goal is to make back-to-school shopping not only convenient but inspiring for both students and families.
