Renewable Materials Conference 2025: Twelve Interactive Workshops Spotlight Innovation and Sustainability

Hürth, 2 July 2025 — The nova-Institut is set to host the Renewable Materials Conference (RMC) from 22–24 September 2025 in Siegburg, near Cologne, Germany. As a leading international event focused on renewable carbon and circular economy solutions, this year’s conference will feature over 500 participants, 75 expert talks, 20 panel discussions, and a multi-level exhibition space dedicated to the future of sustainable materials.

A major highlight of RMC 2025 will be twelve interactive expert-led workshops held alongside the main conference. These workshops aim to deepen participants’ understanding of technological innovations, policy developments, and market strategies essential for the transition to renewable, fossil-free materials.

Workshops on Day 1 (22 September) will explore:

Day 2 (23 September) offers:
CO₂ as a raw material for chemical production (Fraunhofer UMSICHT)
 Biomass availability for chemicals (BIC/RCI)
 Effective communication for renewable materials (nova-Institut)
 Biodegradability and circular economy strategies (HYDRA Marine Sciences & BASF)
 Corporate net-zero targets and renewable carbon impact (Science Based Targets)

Day 3 (24 September) focuses on:
AI-driven polymer design to minimize plastic pollution (TNO)
 Life Cycle Assessment and renewable carbon footprints (nova-Institut)
 Policy frameworks for renewable carbon transitions (nova-Institut & experts)
