RE&UP Champions Circular Innovation at Two Global Events

In June 2025, RE&UP, the trailblazing circulartech company transforming textile recycling, amplified its global presence by actively participating in two influential events: the Global Fashion Summit in Copenhagen and the Textiles Recycling Expo in Brussels. These platforms brought together global leaders, changemakers, and innovators committed to shaping a more sustainable future for the textile and fashion industries.

At the Global Fashion Summit, Andreas Dorner, General Manager at RE&UP, took the stage during the “Fibre Futures” panel on the Ignite Stage. Emphasizing the company’s pioneering work in polycotton recycling, Dorner stated, “RE&UP is the go-to solution provider when it comes to polycotton.” Further elevating the dialogue, Ebru Özküçük Guler, Chief Sustainability Officer, moderated the session “What is Next-Gen?” which featured notable panelists including Riyong Kim (European Environment Agency) and Katrin Ley (Fashion for Good). Guler stressed that scaling next-gen materials requires not just innovation, but robust systemic infrastructure to support it.

Simultaneously, in Brussels, Marco Lucietti, RE&UP’s Head of Global Marketing and Communications, shared key insights at the Textiles Recycling Expo during the panel, “Scaling Recycled Content: Turning Ambition into Industry Reality.” Lucietti highlighted the urgency of converting circular economy goals into industry-wide capabilities through investment, infrastructure, and policy alignment. “The energy was high and the message was clear: it’s time to turn circularity from a commitment into a capability,” he concluded.

RE&UP’s participation in these global dialogues underscores its dedication to tackling complex textile challenges, especially around blended materials like polycotton, and scaling up recycled content across the value chain. The company remains at the forefront of circular transformation, turning bold ideas into scalable, sustainable solutions that are reshaping the textile industry.
