Luxury home furnishings retailer RH has announced two senior executive appointments as part of its leadership strategy to support continued business growth and international expansion. The company has named Sandy Pilon as Chief Customer Experience and Values Officer and Ryan Hassanein as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer.
In her new role, Sandy Pilon will oversee RH’s gallery operations, hospitality, interior design, trade, contract, customer experience, people, and optimization teams across the company’s global operations. Pilon has been with RH for 18 years, holding several leadership positions including Field Leader for Northern and Southern California galleries, Senior Vice President of Delight and Customer Service Operations, and most recently, Chief People Officer.
Commenting on the appointment, Gary Friedman, Chairman and CEO of RH, said Sandy Pilon has played a significant role in the company’s transformation into a leading luxury home brand over the past 18 years. He added that her leadership and commitment to the company’s values position her well to lead customer experience initiatives across the business.
Pilon said she was grateful for the opportunity to take on the expanded role, noting that exceptional customer experiences and strong organizational values remain central to RH’s long-term vision. She also highlighted the importance of creating meaningful relationships with customers and employees while continuing to strengthen the brand globally.
RH has also appointed Ryan Hassanein as Chief Legal and Compliance Officer, where he will oversee the company’s legal, regulatory, compliance, product safety, and vendor compliance functions. Hassanein will report directly to Chairman and CEO Gary Friedman.
Before joining RH, Hassanein spent more than a decade at McKesson Corporation, serving on the Chief Legal Officer’s leadership team. During his tenure, he managed responsibilities across litigation, regulatory affairs, compliance, government relations, supply chain, and technology.
Friedman said Hassanein’s broad leadership experience and legal expertise make him a valuable addition to RH’s executive team as the company continues to strengthen operations and expand internationally.
Hassanein expressed enthusiasm about joining RH, stating that he looks forward to contributing to the company’s continued growth and helping enhance its operational capabilities.
The appointments reflect RH’s ongoing focus on strengthening leadership across key business functions while supporting its long-term strategy of delivering premium customer experiences and expanding its global presence.
