CHANDLER, Arizona — The third version of the Ensven Modular Bed Rocker, a gadget that turns any rigid-frame bed into a rocking bed, has been released by bedding technology startup Ensven.
The Ensven 3 is designed to replicate a little side-to-side motion, which has been shown to be beneficial for slow-wave sleep, insomnia, and general wellness, according to the firm.
With a load capacity of up to 1,200 pounds, the Ensven 3 can accommodate medical and hospital beds, as well as beds ranging from baby cribs to California King frames.
The new version was created in response to user demands for additional features and significant demand, according to Lisa Viani, CEO of the company.
“We got a lot of user feedback about what they wanted to see added,” she said. “In order to make improvements that we believed were necessary, we also conducted our own research and development.”
Improved motor performance, increased compatibility with unconventional bed designs, and additional rocking modes that may be customized are among the new features. The device can be operated by users via onboard buttons or a smartphone app, and it will automatically activate for restless sleepers.
Viani thinks that retailers of furniture and bedding would be interested in Ensven.
She said, “Ensven could be shown in bed and furniture stores.” “The rocking motion is distinct, and as far as we are aware, nothing else produces this effect and gives often static bedroom furniture items a fresh perspective.
Viani continued, “We have worked with organizations that do resale and offered them special terms, even though we don’t have a formal to-the-trade program.”
According to the business, the rocking motion takes advantage of research in sleep science that indicates external oscillations can facilitate the brain’s shift from waking to deep, restorative sleep. Additionally, it notes that previous iterations have been beneficial for people with a variety of disorders, such as cerebral palsy, autism, and sleeplessness.
