Sam’s Club Senior Buyer Bruce McKee to Receive 2026 Home Excellence Award

Bruce McKee, Senior Director for Domestics at Sam’s Club, will be honoured with the 2026 Home Excellence Award for an Individual Merchant during the HTT/HFPA Foundation September Market Gala, an annual fundraising event supporting the HFPA Foundation’s scholarship programme.

McKee, a retail industry veteran, has been with Sam’s Club for 17 years and is also recognised for his nearly 11-year tenure at Bed Bath & Beyond, where he played a key role in the home retail sector.

Scholarship Fundraising Gala Set for September 16

The cocktail gala, jointly presented by Home Textiles Today (HTT) and the HFPA Foundation, will be held on September 16 at the Harvard Club of New York from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.

The event will honour five industry leaders representing both the retail and supplier communities while raising funds for the HFPA Foundation’s scholarship programme.

Guests will enjoy cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, networking opportunities and meet students benefiting from the Foundation’s scholarship initiatives.

Ticket Information

Early Bird tickets for non-HFPA members are priced at $250 and will increase to $275 from September 1.

HFPA members and Foundation donors can attend at a discounted rate of $200.

Supporting Future Industry Talent

Established in 1996, the HFPA Foundation has awarded scholarships to more than 250 students pursuing careers in home textiles and product design.

The Foundation currently provides scholarships to students enrolled in surface design and home product marketing programmes at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and Thomas Jefferson University.
