Signature Global Foundation has launched a cancer pre-screening initiative for labour communities at its project sites.
The initiative is part of Aarogya Rise, the Foundation’s flagship health programme. It has been launched with the Sankalp Cancer Care Foundation.
Sankalp will manage the programme from start to follow-up. This includes awareness sessions, health checks, cancer screening and referrals.
Five health and cancer screening camps were held across different locations on September 23.
The camps aim to improve access to preventive healthcare. They also focus on early detection and timely medical support.
Cancer Screening and Health Checks
The camps provide free health services for men and women. These services include:
- Blood pressure checks
- Diabetes checks
- ECG tests
- General health checkups
- Cancer awareness sessions
- Oral cancer screening
- Breast cancer screening
- Pap smear screening
- Prostate cancer consultation
- HB, PSA and Pap smear tests
- Eye checkups
- Free spectacles
- Free medicines
- Free sanitary pads
The programme also provides further medical support when needed.
Sankalp Cancer Care Foundation has partnered with Rajiv Gandhi Cancer Institute & Research Centre (RGCIRC), Rohini.
RGCIRC will support further diagnosis and treatment for referred beneficiaries.
Awareness Before Screening
Awareness sessions were held before the camps. The sessions took place at different project locations.
The sessions explained the value of regular health checks. They also encouraged workers to take part in the screening camps.
Signature Global Foundation said the programme aims to provide care beyond a single health camp.
The process covers awareness, screening, referral and follow-up care.
Foundation Expands Healthcare Reach
Signature Global Foundation has reached more than 33,722 beneficiaries through its Aarogya Rise mobile healthcare programme.
The Foundation also runs programmes in education, women’s empowerment, digital literacy, elderly care and environmental sustainability.
Its education programme, Paathshaala, has reached more than 95,720 students. Its Jagruk Beti Swasth Beti programme has empowered 20,157 girls.
The Foundation has also provided digital literacy to 1,695 beneficiaries through Tech Udaan.
Under Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam, it has planted 11,072 trees.
The Foundation plans to expand its CSR activities further. Upcoming programmes include STEM Labs, a Scholarship Programme and a Skill Centre in Vrindavan.
