T.T. Ltd. Begins Commercial Production at New Factory in Howrah
Strategic expansion to serve domestic and export markets from West Bengal
Howrah, West Bengal, July 2025 – T.T. Limited has officially commenced commercial production at its new manufacturing facility located in Howrah, West Bengal, as of July 2025. The factory spans 1.25 lakh sq. ft. within the West Bengal Hosiery Park, tapping into the region’s well-established knitting cluster and abundant skilled workforce.
The new plant benefits from its proximity to Kolkata, a major metro hub, and the nearby port infrastructure, making it well-positioned for export operations. T.T. Ltd. will produce innerwear and casual wear, aiming to cater to rising domestic demand as well as explore new global export opportunities.
With India’s Free Trade Agreement (FTA) with the UK already active, and a Bilateral Trade Agreement with the USA anticipated soon, the company expects competitive tariff advantages over China, further boosting its garment export potential.
The facility is projected to reach a production capacity of 3.5 to 4 million pieces annually once it becomes fully operational by Q3 of 2025. Notably, the premises have been designed to allow doubling of capacity, which the company plans to implement after stabilization of current operations within the next three to six months. Additionally, this unit will act as a distribution hub for the Eastern Indian markets.
To meet international quality and certification standards, T.T. Ltd. has installed advanced imported machinery sourced from renowned global brands. The company has also registered for SEDEX certification, ensuring full compliance with ethical and operational standards from day one.
In parallel, T.T. Ltd. has launched its Rights Issue of Equity Shares at Rs. 12 per share, open from July 17 to July 31, 2025. Investors can access the Letter of Offer on the company’s website, the stock exchanges, and the platform of the Lead Manager.
