Taram Textiles has expanded its brand reach by relocating to a larger showroom at 230 5th Ave.
The company’s brand-new 3,000 square foot showroom in Suite 212 has wrap-around windows and tall ceilings. The additional elbow room serves as a showcase for the mill’s first in-house brand, greater display space for its Izod licensed brand, and increased product categories for the Rebok Home licensed collection.
A year ago, Reebok Home made its debut at Taram, emphasizing performance goods, especially utility bedding and sheets. Taram is adding beach towels (yarn-dyed and printed branded towels) and two-piece memory foam bathmat sets, with the brand’s initial placements currently shipping. Top of the bed and cooling blankets are also new. The bedding patterns reflect Reebok’s foray into the fashion world, specifically with streetwear.
David Greenstein, president of strategy & sales at Taram, stated, “We think this can be a big play for Back-to-School next year.”
The vertical Indian maker is also introducing Stonehill Manor, a new house brand, this week. Originally begun as a private label sheet program that uses the mill’s weaving capabilities, Stonehill Manor has now been fleshed out into a full bedroom line that comprises comforter sets, blankets, throw, duvet cover/sham sets and dcor pillows.
According to Greenstein, “Stonehill Manor offers reasonably priced luxury with a modern twist on ‘classic.'” It can be woven in a variety of colors and patterns. We have an enormous collection of weaves.
Products from Taram’s new sourcing unit, which enables the firm to offer microfiber substitutes in its licensed collections and broadens the company’s product offering into beach, towels, and rugs, are showcased in one section of the new showroom.
Taram is also showcasing the second generation of Floatmax sateen sheets during the market. The fabric is given more face and becomes smoother, silkier, and shinier thanks to the mill’s FloatMax sateen technique, which packs more yarns into the float of the weave.
