The latest edition of Texhibition Istanbul 2026 reinforced its position as a major international sourcing platform for fabrics and textile innovation, bringing together global buyers, manufacturers and designers at the Istanbul Expo Center.

Held from 4–6 March 2026, the exhibition hosted over 500 exhibitors across five halls covering 42,850 square metres, presenting the full textile value chain. Product categories included woven and knitted fabrics, yarns, accessories, printing, embroidery and denim. The fair attracted 19,325 visitors, including 5,565 international participants representing Europe, Asia, the Middle East, North Africa and North America.

The event is organised by İTKİB Fuarcılık A.Ş. in cooperation with the Istanbul Textile Exporters Association (İTHİB).

Industry meeting point during global uncertainty

Against a backdrop of global geopolitical uncertainty, particularly developments in the Middle East, the fair served as a meeting point for the international textile sector to discuss sourcing strategies, supply chain resilience and future partnerships.

Fatih Bilici, Vice President of İTHİB and Chairman of the Texhibition Fair Committee, highlighted the role of the Turkish textile industry.

“Texhibition Istanbul demonstrates year after year how strong and flexible the Turkish textile industry is. Especially in times of global uncertainty, international brands are looking for reliable partners with fast supply chains and high quality – and this is where Türkiye offers significant advantages.”

Türkiye’s integrated textile production advantage

The fair also highlighted Türkiye’s fully integrated textile ecosystem, covering every stage from raw materials to finished garments. With an annual production value of around 78 billion US dollars—including approximately 45 billion in textiles and 33 billion in apparel—the country remains one of the world’s major textile producers.

This integrated production structure allows manufacturers to maintain short development cycles, flexible production volumes and rapid delivery, particularly to European markets.

Companies also showcased investments in sustainable manufacturing technologies, including solutions designed to reduce water and energy consumption and promote circular textile production.

Diverse international participation

Texhibition Istanbul attracted visitors from more than 95 countries, reflecting its growing international reach. Buyers from major markets such as Italy, Germany, Spain, the United States and the Netherlands attended the event, alongside representatives from countries including Bulgaria, Greece, Kazakhstan, Saudi Arabia, Tunisia, Ukraine and the United Kingdom.

Participating international brands included Hugo Boss, Puma, Nike, Coach, Michael Kors, Stone Island and Alexander Wang, among many others.

B2B meetings enabled international buyers and Turkish manufacturers to discuss new collections, sustainable materials and long-term sourcing partnerships.

Blue Black Denim showcases innovation

One of the major attractions of the fair was the Blue Black Denim section, which highlighted Türkiye’s strong position as a global denim production hub.

Leading companies including ISKO, Bossa, Atlas Denim, ISKUR and Kipaş presented new developments in sustainable washing technologies, advanced dyeing methods and innovative material constructions.

Interactive installations, workshops and expert talks explored how denim is evolving through technological and design innovation.

Innovation Hub explores next-generation materials

Another highlight was the Innovation Hub, curated by Arzu Kaprol and Filiz Tunca, showcasing forward-looking textile materials that combine sustainability, technology and design.

Featured innovations included Colourself Cotton, a self-dyeing cotton designed to reduce water and energy use, biodegradable pleated textiles, and vegan bioglitter materials. Natural fibre innovations such as hemp-based protective textiles and nettle fibre fabrics also illustrated new directions in sustainable textile development.

Trend areas and circular solutions

The exhibition also introduced the ReValue Stock Hub, a dedicated area aimed at transforming surplus fabrics into new sourcing opportunities. The initiative highlighted the growing importance of circularity and efficient resource management in the textile industry.

Trend areas presented curated fabric concepts, colour directions and design ideas for upcoming fashion collections, while a newly introduced accessories trend area showcased trims and complementary design elements.

Knowledge and industry insights

The three-day fair also featured an extensive seminar programme covering trend forecasting, digital transformation, artificial intelligence in textile production, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

Trend forecasting sessions by WGSN provided insights into future fabric and fashion directions, while discussions on digital product passports, recycling technologies and supply-chain innovations reflected the industry’s evolving priorities.

Outlook

The March edition of Texhibition Istanbul highlighted how the global textile industry is adapting to changing supply chains, sustainability demands and geopolitical developments.

According to Ahmet Öksüz, President of İTHİB, the exhibition has evolved into more than a trade platform.

“Texhibition has gone beyond being merely a trade platform and has become an important showcase reflecting the vision and shared ambitions of our industry.”

The next edition of Texhibition Istanbul will take place 11–13 September 2026, while the Istanbul Fashion Connection fair is scheduled for 19–21 August 2026.
