AMI Announces U.S. Launch of Textiles Recycling Expo in Charlotte on April 29–30, 2026
The future of textile circularity is coming to North America.
AMI is set to host the Textiles Recycling Expo USA at the Charlotte Convention Center, North Carolina, on April 29–30, 2026, marking its North American debut. This event follows the major success of the first-ever European edition, and will unite industry stakeholders to tackle textile waste, covering areas such as the recycling of garments, footwear, fabrics, fibers, and non-wovens.
The inaugural Textiles Recycling Expo was held in Brussels, Belgium, on June 4–5, 2025. Widely regarded as a milestone for the industry, it featured 126 exhibitors and welcomed 3,336 visitors from 67 countries, becoming the largest global gathering dedicated solely to textile recycling.
“We are very excited to bring the Textiles Recycling Expo to the USA,” said Zied Chetoui, Event Manager. “We had discussions with numerous American attendees at our launch event in Europe and it’s clear that there’s a real need for a similar meeting place for the North American textiles recycling community to help foster dialogue and progress.”
With more than 10 million tons of textiles discarded annually in the U.S., and only a small percentage being recycled, the fashion and waste management industries face growing pressure to improve recycling rates and divert waste from landfills. The Textiles Recycling Expo USA will directly address these challenges by promoting collaboration, innovation, and a shift toward circular economy practices.
The event will include a dynamic exhibition showcasing cutting-edge recycling technologies and services. An open conference theater will host keynotes, panel discussions, and case studies, tackling topics like regulatory shifts, market dynamics, innovation, supply chains, and investment strategies.
Andy Beevers, Events Director at AMI, stated: “We selected Charlotte as the location for the expo as the city and surrounding areas make up a major hub for textiles production, recycling, and research. Plus, the city has great transport connections and excellent exhibition facilities.”
Exhibitors will engage with high-level buyers and decision-makers from across the value chain, while attendees will explore groundbreaking solutions and gain valuable knowledge from the diverse conference lineup.
AMI brings strong expertise in hosting successful U.S. tradeshows, including the Plastics World Expos in Cleveland, which have grown to become North America’s largest annual plastics events with a keen focus on recycling.
