Beginning in January of the following year, DOMOTEX will initiate a new biannual schedule. The Carpets & Rugs Edition will serve as the primary venue for the carpet industry’s gatherings at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds in all odd-numbered years starting in 2025. Like all even years, 2026 will see the return of DOMOTEX, which will unite the global floor coverings sector under one roof.
Germany, Hannover. From January 16–19, 2025, exhibitors from all over the world will be showcasing their innovations at the Hannover Exhibition Grounds, with the subject of the event being “True Connections. Excellence in Design.” “It was crucial that we concentrated solely on the requirements of the industry,” says Sonia Wedell-Castellano, Global Director of DOMOTEX Events Worldwide. We have created a plan to make The Carpets & Rugs Edition as small and effective as we can, working closely with the market and our best exhibitors. In order to do this, we have modified our supporting program and created brand-new unique forms and networking chances. Our goal is to give each and every participant a targeted and fruitful show from which they may get the most out of it.”Apart from timeless handcrafted classics and ancient collector’s goods, the product line will feature current machine weavings and high-quality knotted products with contemporary designs.
The Carpets & Rugs Edition offers distinctive styles and motivational live presentations.
Visitors can anticipate interesting live discussions and distinctive designs in Hall 2, which will make their stay worthwhile. The Carpet Design Awards (CDA) commemorate their 20th anniversary in January. The fascinating “DOMOTEX on Stage” will be a portion of the CDA area. With speakers from the fields of production, retail, interior architecture and design, and more, the conference program provides a comprehensive understanding of the difficulties facing the industry going forward.
Visitors may sample tomorrow’s interior trends in one convenient place and learn about sustainable products at the newly opened “Trend Café” in Hall 3. Throughout the fair, the unique display—which features a combined coffee bar and lounge area—is the perfect spot to meet up with old and new business contacts to talk about the most recent advancements in the sector.
Meanwhile, excitement for DOMOTEX 2026 is growing.
Deutsche Messe AG is responding to the flooring industry’s long-standing demand for a two-year cycle by changing the event’s frequency. This demand has been voiced for a number of years. The reaction to this strategic choice has been overwhelmingly positive, according to Deutsche Messe AG. The world’s premier trade show for the flooring industry, DOMOTEX, will bring together the global flooring community in Hannover, Germany, in January 2026 and every even-numbered year after that. Products range from fine parquet flooring and handmade oriental carpets to weaving machines and installation technology.
This decision is welcomed by Stephanie Huesmann, Head of Category Management Wall, Floor, and Tools at Schwarz Heimtex Einkaufs GmbH, who is already excited to see everyone in Hanover: “We have always needed to attend DOMOTEX in Hannover at the start of the year. It’s the one location where we can meet a lot of significant suppliers, form new business connections, learn about goods and trends, and get a detailed rundown of the future topics in carpet and flooring! We anticipate gaining an even greater target-group oriented value by modifying the show’s design with a rotating focus.
