Weekhawken, New Jersey — The Company Store and the global fashion brand Villa D’Ascoli have teamed up to create a line of loungewear, table dcor, bedding, and comforters.
High-quality bedding, loungewear, table décor, and quilts are all part of the assortment. Fresh flashes of color are featured in the designs, which, according to The Company Store, showcase Villa D’Ascoli’s vivid, Indian-inspired craftsmanship. The range of prices is $39 to $349.
The creative director of the brand, designer Peter D’Ascoli, has traveled extensively and studied ornamental arts all over the world for many years.
After receiving formal training in textile design at Manhattan’s Fashion Institute of Technology, he first worked on a government initiative in India involving handcrafted textiles. After that, he worked on home furniture licenses as the design director for Diane von Furstenberg. He also worked for American fabric maker Covington Industries for over five years as vice president of creative services.
D’Ascoli established the Talianna Studio in New Delhi in 2006 with the intention of producing high-end textiles for interior design. Cecile D’Ascoli started working on a clothing line at the studio in 2012.In a vertically integrated facility, the company currently creates unique fabrics for the interior design industry under the Peter D’Ascoli brand in addition to modern clothing and home goods under the D’Ascoli label.
