Minneapolis: Every interest has a social media star. Additionally, Target has selected a selection of them for a brand-new, exclusive line.
On September 21, the Cuddle Collab, which has more than 180 pieces for pets and pet lovers, goes on sale in almost 2,000 locations and online. Target claims that the collection was created “through the eyes of real pets” and was influenced by six “fur-fluencers” on social media.
Products range from soft toys, tasty treats, and home décor to matching accessories for humans, dogs, and cats, with prices starting at $3. Pet beds, contemporary cat homes and condos, pet figurine bookends, and bowls and tumblers made exclusively for Stanley are examples of home goods.
“We understand that customers come to Target to assist them in taking care of their families, and that pets are family to millions of people, including 70% of Target patrons,” stated Jill Sado, executive vice president and chief merchandising officer of hardlines, home, and apparel & accessories. “The Cuddle Collab is a fun way to share our design expertise with the entire family, including pets and their people who love them,” says the creator. “It’s all about celebrating our pets.”
A “unique” collaboration of six dogs and five cats who are well-known on social media led to the creation of the Cuddle Collab. Therapy dogs Ellie and Emma, contemporary cats Zelda, Titus, and Brave, food-loving dog Popeye, fashion-forward pups Ghost and Wren, and self-care enthusiast Maple Cat are some examples of design influences. and Baloo and Pan, dog and cat greatest friends. The “fur-fluencers” have amassed more than six million Instagram followers between them.
A few Target stores will celebrate the collection with in-store events and giveaways on the day the special editor program launches. Target’s first reality-style social series, “The Pets of Tarjay,” which offers viewers a glimpse into the world through the eyes of the pets and features “humorous, universal truths every pet lover can relate to,” is another project in which the firm is collaborating.
