Olympic gold medalist and global LGBTQ+ advocate Tom Daley has partnered with The Woolmark Company to launch an exclusive Woolmark-certified knit kit, inspiring a new generation to embrace knitting. Daley, who famously took up knitting during the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, quickly became an icon in the craft community. His latest venture through his brand Made With Love now includes a premium collection that celebrates creativity, self-expression, and sustainable fashion.
The collaboration features 100% Merino wool yarns, developed in partnership with UK yarn maker Laxtons, and offers three exclusive patterns: a jumper, a vest, and a hat. Available in a palette of soothing pastels—like Lilac Snow, Lemon Zest, and Candy Pink—the kits cater to both beginners and seasoned knitters.
According to Daley, wool is a fiber he’s always trusted: “It’s natural, renewable, breathable, and warm—perfect for cozy, stylish pieces.” Launching on 30 June 2025 via madewithloveworld.com, the knit kits will also roll out to selected retailers globally.
This launch coincides with Daley’s rising profile beyond sports: from hosting Game of Wool, an upcoming Channel 4 knitting series, to the release of his documentary ‘1.6 Seconds’ on Discovery+. As a passionate change-maker and crafting enthusiast, Daley continues to bridge the worlds of performance, design, and advocacy.
