Tata Group retail company Trent Ltd. reported a 19% year-on-year increase in standalone revenue for the first quarter of FY27, supported by continued expansion of its Westside and Zudio retail networks.
According to the company’s business update, standalone revenue from operations (excluding GST) increased to ₹5,666 crore (US$594.6 million) for the quarter ended June 30, 2026, compared with ₹4,781 crore (US$501.7 million) in the corresponding quarter of the previous fiscal year.
Revenue generated from the sale of merchandise, excluding other operating income, also recorded a 19% year-on-year growth.
The performance was driven by the company’s continued expansion in the value fashion segment and sustained consumer demand. Trent has maintained growth by rapidly increasing its retail footprint, particularly through its Zudio format, while continuing to strengthen the Westside brand.
During the first quarter, the retailer opened one new Westside store and 19 Zudio outlets.
As of June 30, 2026, Trent operated a total of 1,312 stores, including 301 Westside outlets, 982 Zudio stores—of which seven are located in the UAE—and 29 stores under its other lifestyle formats.
The latest quarterly update follows Trent’s strong financial performance in Q4 FY26, when the company reported a 26% year-on-year increase in net profit, reflecting continued momentum across its retail business.
