Trident Group is still setting and achieving high standards for product innovation and sustainable production.

The business is taking on a wide range of projects, from cutting carbon emissions to launching innovative sustainable product lines that are showcased at the New York Home Fashions Market.

The goal of these manufacturing-related initiatives is to gradually phase out coal use and increase the use of clean, renewable energy sources. By 2025, the corporation wants to have 50% of its energy come from renewable sources. By June of this year, it had already risen to 48%, with 42% of the energy coming from biomass.

Trident has increased its solar capacity to 41 MWp (megawatt-peak), with ambitions to achieve 55 MWp in the near future, in order to further boost the share of renewable energy.

According to the business, “these ongoing initiatives underscore Trident’s leadership in driving sustainable transformation within the industry and are key steps in Trident’s journey towards carbon neutrality.”

Water saving is a cornerstone of Trident Group’s sustainability strategy, and the business views its cutting-edge Zero Liquid Discharge (ZLD) facilities as a critical differentiator.

All of the water used to produce towels and sheeting is recycled at Trident’s Budhni manufacturing site in India, while treated wastewater from the Dhaula and Punjab facilities is used for horticultural and landscaping purposes.

Trident’s water neutrality objectives are further supported by the groundwater levels that are replenished by its rainwater gathering pits. Trident has recovered more than 2,651 million gallons of wastewater since its founding, demonstrating its leadership in sustainable water management and differentiating the business as a conscientious and forward-thinking producer.

The company claims that “these state-of-the-art systems ensure that no liquid waste is released into the environment, drastically reducing the company’s water footprint.”

Trident’s proprietary Eco-Twist technology, created as a greener substitute for conventional zero-twist towels, is available as a product.

The unique spinning process keeps the high degree of softness and durability associated with zero-twist products while doing away with the need for synthetic components. Improved absorbency, thickness, and decreased linting are all provided by Eco-Twist towels, which are made in accordance with eco-friendly production procedures.

Julie McKenzie, CEO of Trident Group’s U.S. business, stated, “Our retail partners share our dedication to sustainability, and together we are providing consumers with high-quality, environmentally responsible products that contribute to a more sustainable world.” “We are leading the way toward a greener future in the textile industry and driving positive change by aligning our sustainability commitments with those of our retailers.”

The address of Trident’s New York showroom is 320 5th Ave., 8th floor.
