This Raksha Bandhan, Vinod Intelligent Cookware is taking a fresh approach to the festival by moving beyond the traditional brother-sister narrative and celebrating the emotional bonds children share with their pets.
The Indian cookware brand has launched a creator-led digital campaign built around the idea that family is defined not by labels, but by love, companionship and unconditional bonds. The campaign highlights how pets have increasingly become an integral part of family life, often serving as confidants, playmates and, for many children, almost like siblings.
Celebrating the Evolving Definition of Family
The Raksha Bandhan campaign brings this contemporary interpretation of siblinghood to life through Instagram storytelling. Five pet creators — @alex_thegoldendog, @thepawsomelifeofmurphy, @golden_pabloescobark, @ruchi_romeo and @leothemorningstar — are participating in the campaign, each creating Instagram Reels and content around their unique relationships with their pets.
The campaign focuses on everyday moments of affection, companionship, sharing and unconditional love, allowing the emotional relationship between children and pets to remain at the heart of the communication.
The content has already started gaining traction on Instagram, with early engagement across the creators’ respective communities. The campaign was conceptualised and developed by Network Advertising, while influencer sourcing was managed in-house by Vinod Intelligent Cookware.
FREYA Brings the Kitchen Into the Story
At the centre of the campaign is FREYA, Vinod Intelligent Cookware’s latest titanium-enamelled cast iron cookware range. Rather than positioning the product as the primary focus, the brand has integrated FREYA naturally into the family setting and emotional storytelling.
The campaign features pet-friendly recipes prepared using FREYA, while highlighting its cast iron construction and TREON Technology. Through this integration, Vinod Intelligent Cookware connects its latest cookware innovation with the evolving Indian family kitchen and a cultural moment that is increasingly being interpreted in more personal ways.
Moving Beyond Product-First Communication
Instead of relying on conventional product-led advertising, the campaign places the emotional connection between families and pets at the centre of its narrative. The approach allows the brand to participate in the broader conversation around changing family structures and the growing role pets play within Indian households.
Malvika Agarwal, Director, Vinod Cookware India Pvt. Ltd., said, “Raksha Bandhan is ultimately about celebrating the bonds that make us feel loved, protected, and truly at home. Today, for many families, that bond extends beyond traditional relationships, with pets becoming an integral part of the family and, for children, often their closest companions and siblings. Through this campaign, we wanted to celebrate that beautiful evolution in a way that feels genuine and relevant to today’s families. By bringing these stories to life through creators, we hope to remind people that while relationships may have labels, love does not.”
Connecting With Younger Indian Audiences
The campaign reflects a broader shift in how consumers perceive and express the meaning of family. With pets becoming increasingly important members of households, traditional celebrations are also creating space for new interpretations of relationships and togetherness.
Through its Raksha Bandhan campaign, Vinod Intelligent Cookware seeks to capture this shift with a simple message: family is not defined by labels, but by the bonds of love and companionship that make people and pets feel at home.
The campaign is being amplified through Instagram collaborations between the five creators and Vinod Intelligent Cookware’s official social media handle, combining creator-led authenticity with the brand’s own digital community.
