Walter Bickel to Step Down from Lenzing Board After Leading Strong Transformation
The Lenzing Group, a global pioneer in regenerated cellulose fiber production for textile and nonwoven applications, announces the departure of Dr. Walter Bickel, Chief Transformation Officer and Member of the Managing Board, effective end of March 2025. This strategic transition follows an exceptional year of performance under Bickel’s leadership, marking a transformative chapter in Lenzing’s corporate journey.
Dr. Bickel joined the Lenzing Board in April 2024 with a clear mandate: to drive Lenzing’s performance program and strengthen operational efficiency amid evolving industry challenges. In less than a year, his leadership resulted in an overachievement of performance goals, delivering measurable improvements across key operational and financial areas.
