World Market, a brand of home goods, is expanding its footprint for the first time since a private equity firm purchased it in 2021.

The specialized business recently celebrated the grand opening of its newest location at Henderson, Nevada’s Stephanie Street Shopping Center. Located at 535 N. Stephanie St., the newly constructed 15,138-square-foot property is situated in the shopping area between PetSmart and Michaels. This is World Market’s fifth Nevada site.

CEO Eric Hunter stated, “With five more stores launching nationwide in October and November, this opening marks the beginning of an exciting season for World Market.”

The nameplate debuted a new location at Cincinnati’s Rookwood Commons & Pavilion in July. The 14,500-sq.-ft. unit is located at 2692 Madison Road, Suite D1 next door to Sierra Trading Post and Mitchell’s Salon & Spa in the shopping center. After the four World Market locations in the Columbus region, this one is the fifth to open in Ohio.

The Avenue @ White Marsh in Baltimore had the first store opening under the current ownership in early May. This 15,000-square-foot store is World Market’s second Maryland branch.

The business presently operates 240 outlets, slightly short of the 245 it had when World Market was purchased by Kingswood Capital Management in the early months of 2021. This includes the latest Nevada debut. Then-owner Bed Bath & Beyond, which was selling off assets to reorganize its operations, received $110 million from the equity group.
