WTiN has completed an 18-month expansion of its Digital Textile Market Tracker. The update adds ink and sublimation transfer paper data to its existing digital textile printing market analysis.

The project began in early 2025. During this period, WTiN expanded its research and partnered with more printer manufacturers, particularly in China. The new data also led to changes in earlier market estimates.

The tracker now covers ink consumption by chemistry, region, country and application. It includes sublimation, reactive, acid, disperse and pigment inks. Transfer paper data is also classified by weight, coating, tackiness, region and country.

WTiN has integrated ink and paper data with its existing printer installation and printed output figures. This approach gives all three datasets a common foundation. It also helps users compare market information across regions and applications.

The update includes historical data on fashion, sportswear, interiors and soft signage from 2015 onwards. It also reflects changes in demand during the Covid-19 pandemic.

WTiN has revised its ink consumption figures for 2021 to 2025. The updated estimates for 2022 to 2024 are 2% to 9% lower than previously published figures. The revisions reflect updated ink laydown estimates.

The latest ink, transfer paper and half-year market reviews will be published during October and November 2026. WTiN will also offer a free webinar demonstrating the tracker.

The Digital Textile Market Tracker is available to WTiN members. Non-members can contact its Growth Team to request a briefing or sample data.
