Due to its many practical qualities, including great absorbency, strength, softness, and color retention, cotton is still the most popular and commonly used natural fiber[1]. India, a significant cotton producer, is once again expected to make an impression at Yarn Expo Autumn, which will take place from August 27 to August 29 in Hall 8.2 of the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai), as it looks for chances in the dominant Asia-Pacific market. More than 40 exhibitors will be in the India Pavilion showcasing their carefully chosen cotton, mélange, greige, fancy yarns, and more, as cotton continues to be a top priority for suppliers from other nations and areas.

In August, the India Pavilion, which is organized by the esteemed Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council (TEXPROCIL), will return to the exhibition with great might, towering over the more than 500 exhibitors representing 15 different nations and regions. Mr. Murali Balakrishna, Joint Director of The Cotton Textile Export Promotion Council, stated during the most recent Yarn Expo Spring event that “the effectiveness of Yarn Expo as a business platform and the attraction of the vast Chinese market is the reason for the continued attendance of Indian suppliers.” Especially for India’s well-known twisted cotton yarn, the country’s textile industry chain and competitive edge in terms of both quality and pricing have brought a lot of customers to our booth. We are appreciative of this global platform and the excellent chances it presents to increase the visibility of our exhibitors worldwide.

The 40 exhibitors in the India Pavilion represent the largest group of exhibitors in ten years, and they will display their knowledge in a range of yarn and fiber categories. The range of products includes spandex yarn, mixed yarn, synthetic yarn, recycled yarn, organic / BCI yarn, pure cotton carding, pure cotton combing / compact spinning, viscose, and more. Featured exhibitors consist of:

  • Asia Pacific Industries Pvt. Ltd

Indo is a top-notch producer and exporter of cotton textiles, providing over 45 nations with 100% cotton products, such as Brazil, China, Germany, the UK, and the US. The Directorate General of Foreign Trade in India has designated the company as a two-star export house and it offers a variety of yarns and textiles.

  • Textech Manan Global Pvt. Ltd.

One of the top vertically integrated textile firms in India is Manan Textech. Using a variety of organic and synthetic raw materials, it produces and supplies certified high-quality products for the global market in the areas of fibers, yarns, textiles, and completed clothing.

  • Padwa Global Partners LLP

Padwa has 70,000 spindles available for use in-house while manufacturing yarn. The mill manufactures high-quality, 100% cotton products such as ring spun, combed, compacted, carded, siro cleaned, and electronically cleared knitting yarn with superior splicing.

Another major focus for other international exhibitors is cotton.
More than 200 cotton vendors will be present at the expo, including those at the India Pavilion. Important exhibitors consist of:

  • Hong Kong-based Heng Feng (HongKong) Co., Ltd.

Heng Feng was established in 2009 and operates a multi-channel supply and marketing chain, selling premium cotton to Southeast Asia and importing cotton yarns for Chinese consumers from Thailand, Vietnam, India, and Indonesia.

  • Indonesian company PT. Indo-Rama Synthetics Tbk

A branch of the Singapore-based Indorama Corporation, one of the top chemical corporations in Asia. The company produces a broad variety of goods, such as spun yarns made of cotton and synthetic materials, polyester fiber, and cotton fiber.

  • Bangladesh’s Square Textiles PLC

Square creates, produces, and sells a range of yarns for both commercial and personal use. The company manufactures yarn made of cotton, polyester, organic cotton, bamboo, and various blends of cotton and polyester.

Cotton ranked in the top two product categories at Yarn Expo Spring 2024 and Yarn Expo Autumn 2023. The 2019 Autumn Edition will continue to serve the industry in its capacity as Asia’s premier international sourcing hub for yarns and fibers, along with other in-demand product selections.

Yarn Expo Autumn, CHIC, and PH Value will all take place at the same time as Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition. The four fairs will provide a single venue for the fiber and yarn, fashion, knitted garments, and clothing fabrics and accessories industries, allowing exhibitors and buyers to maximize their business potential through the resulting synergy.

Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd. and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT, are the organizers of Yarn Expo Autumn. Please visit www.yarn-expo-autumn.com for additional information.
