Industry anticipation is building ahead of the opening of Yarn Expo Autumn 2026, Asia’s leading yarn and fibre trade fair, which will take place from 25–27 August 2026 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai). The three-day event will bring together nearly 600 exhibitors from 14 countries and regions across 27,000 sqm of exhibition space in Hall 8.2.

Organised around seven specialised zones, Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 will offer buyers and sourcing professionals access to a broad portfolio of yarns and fibres, ranging from advanced man-made and regenerated fibres to cotton, linen, silk, cashmere and wool. Alongside product sourcing, the fair’s programme will feature trend displays, presentations, product launches and industry discussions focused on emerging materials and textile innovation.

Chemical and Fancy Yarn Zones Highlight Innovation

The Chemical Fibre Zone will be one of the key areas for innovation, bringing together more than 260 exhibitors. Leading Chinese synthetic fibre manufacturers, including Fujian Cyclone Technology, Shenghong Group and Huafon Chemical, will showcase high-performance materials designed to address evolving requirements across fashion and textile applications.

The exhibitors will present a diverse selection of seasonal and decorative yarns aimed at supporting upcoming fashion and textile collections.

Natural Fibres Remain Central to Sourcing

Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 will also place strong emphasis on natural fibre solutions. The Cotton Yarn Zone will feature more than 60 exhibitors, including Jiangsu Dasheng Group and Zhoukou Shengtai Textile. The section will highlight cotton yarn developments, with particular attention to sustainable materials and innovative dyeing solutions.

In the Linen and Silk Yarn Zones, nearly 20 specialists, including Jiangsu Tengyuan Textile and Dashiqiao Silk Spinning Factory, will showcase premium silk, linen and blended yarns. The Cashmere and Wool Yarn Zone will bring together close to 10 exhibitors demonstrating developments in semi-worsted, worsted and carded spinning technologies.

Established industry names such as Egyptian Co For Flax And Its Products from Egypt, Indorama Ventures from Thailand, Toray Industries Inc from Japan and The Lurex Company from the UK will contribute to the fair’s global sourcing landscape.

Country and regional pavilions will further strengthen international participation. Organised by TEXPROCIL, the India Pavilion will feature companies including Excel Enterprise, Texperts India Pvt and S.P.Yarns, presenting carded, combed and sustainable cotton yarns.

The Taiwan Zone will also bring together companies such as Sun Yarn Textile, Tah Lee Textile and Tah Yao Textile, presenting functional blends, high-tenacity yarns and sustainable cellulosic fibres.

Trend Forecasting and Textile Materials Innovation

Beyond product sourcing, Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 will provide visitors with opportunities to explore emerging textile directions through its supporting programme.

At the Tongkun – China Fibre Fashion Trends Display Zone, visitors will discover developments in high-tech and eco-friendly synthetic fibres. A dedicated press conference will also unveil a forecasting report covering upcoming colour, material and design directions.

The New Fibre New World – Textile Materials Innovation Activities will bring together academics, corporate R&D leaders and industry experts to examine the future of intelligent textiles and next-generation sustainable materials.

Adding further technical depth, 11 product presentations will give participating exhibitors an opportunity to introduce their latest yarn and fibre developments, including product performance, specifications and potential applications.

Yarn Expo Autumn to Create Cross-Industry Business Opportunities

Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 will be held concurrently with Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Autumn Edition, CHIC and PH Value. Bringing together the fibre and yarn, apparel fabrics and accessories, fashion and knitted garment sectors at the same venue, the concurrent fairs are expected to create opportunities for cross-sector sourcing, networking and business development.

With its combination of international participation, specialised sourcing zones, material innovation and trend intelligence, Yarn Expo Autumn 2026 is positioned as an important meeting point for textile manufacturers, yarn buyers, designers, brands and other industry professionals preparing for future collections and markets.

Yarn Expo Autumn is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT.
