Greater Bay Area sourcing platform attracts over 20,000 visits from 74 countries and regions

Yarn Expo Shenzhen 2026 concluded after three days of business activity, reinforcing its position as a mid-year sourcing platform for the Greater Bay Area. Held alongside Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics and PH Value, the exhibition attracted over 20,000 visits from 74 countries and regions, connecting buyers and exhibitors across the textile value chain.

The exhibition featured nearly 100 exhibitors, marking an increase in participation compared to the previous edition. Suppliers presented products across five major categories including chemical fibre, cotton yarn, fancy yarn, regenerated yarn and wool yarn, offering buyers access to performance-driven and sustainable material solutions.

According to Ms Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., the event strengthened its role as a platform combining sourcing opportunities with industry knowledge exchange. She noted that the exhibition and its fringe programme supported exhibitors and buyers in responding to changing market requirements while providing insights into future developments in yarn and fibre innovation.

Among the exhibitors, Better International presented Tempsense® bio-based temperature-regulating fibres and Collaskin® collagen fibres, while Jingyi Group showcased Lyocell blended yarns. Both companies drew attention for products focused on sustainability and enhanced performance.

The exhibition’s supporting programme included the Tongkun – China Fibre Fashion Trends Display Zone and the Green Fibre Certification Display, highlighting market applications and sustainable fibre development. Industry discussions were also held through the New Fibre New World – Textile Materials Innovation Forum and the Green Fibre Eco-Forum, covering topics such as certification, recycling technologies and bio-based materials.

Together with the innovation-focused activities at Intertextile Shenzhen Apparel Fabrics, including the Innovation Studio and Future Horizons Forum, the concurrent events offered visitors broader insight into emerging textile technologies and material developments.

Exhibitors reported interest in functional, certified and premium yarns from buyers across China and international markets. Better International highlighted growing demand for plant-based functional yarns, while Top Line (Ningbo) Textile Co Ltd noted increasing attention towards biodegradable cashmere products. Jingyi Group also reported continued interest in sustainable Lyocell blended yarns and the benefits of the event’s mid-year schedule.

Visitors from Korea, India and China cited the exhibition’s comprehensive product range, sustainability focus and convenient access to raw materials, fabrics and apparel under one roof as key advantages. Several buyers reported identifying potential suppliers during the event and expressed plans to return for future editions.
