Jakob Müller Group (JMG), a global leader in narrow fabric weaving machinery, has officially acquired 100% of MEI International, a renowned Italian manufacturer of wide label weaving machines, effective January 1, 2025. This strategic move merges the expertise of two industry pioneers, expanding JMG’s product portfolio and enhancing innovation in woven label production.
Strengthening Innovation & Expanding Capabilities
JMG is well-known for its high-quality rapier and air-jet weaving machines. With this acquisition, the company integrates MEI’s specialized air-jet technology, further advancing its solutions for label weaving applications. As part of this transition, JMG will discontinue its Müjet air-jet weaving machine and fully adopt MEI’s advanced air-jet technology, ensuring continuous development through mutual cooperation.
