The global textile community is set to converge at Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics – Spring Edition 2026, taking place from 11–13 March at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. With over 3,000 exhibitors from 25 countries and regions spread across seven halls, the event will once again serve as a major sourcing platform for the international apparel industry. The diversity of products on display – from natural fibres to functional and patterned fabrics – will be especially prominent in the International Hall, which brings together a broad mix of pavilions and themed zones.

Well-known feature areas such as SalonEurope, Premium Wool Zone, and Verve for Design will return as key attractions, while group pavilions from Ecocert, KTC, and Lenzing, along with country and region pavilions from Hong Kong, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, and Türkiye, will strengthen the show’s international profile. Exhibition categories will span suiting, shirting, ladieswear, casualwear, and functional textiles, with overseas suppliers showcased across multiple halls, offering buyers a comprehensive sourcing experience.

According to Wilmet Shea, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the fair continues to function as a true one-stop sourcing destination, welcoming everyone from large-scale yarn and fibre buyers to boutique designers with smaller order requirements. This breadth ensures that exhibitors from across the entire apparel textile spectrum can find their place at the show, a strength that is clearly reflected in the growing number of international pavilions.

Several leading pavilions will present how fibre innovation translates into finished products. The Lenzing Pavilion will demonstrate applications of regenerated cellulose fibres across womenswear, functional fabrics, and denim, while also introducing new fibre developments to the Chinese market. The Ecocert Pavilion will highlight certified textile partners focused on environmentally responsible production, and the KTC Pavilion will present textile offerings from Korea’s Daegu and North Gyeongsang Province regions, featuring cotton, polyester, and pattern designs.

Country and region pavilions will further highlight the fair’s geographic diversity, with the Türkiye Pavilion making its Spring Edition debut and the India Pavilion returning. Organised by leading national industry bodies, these pavilions will showcase a wide range of woven fabrics, silk, jacquard, lace, embroidery, and denim, combining traditional craftsmanship with contemporary design. The Italy Pavilion, alongside others, will spotlight premium wool and high-end fabrics, underlining Europe’s continuing influence in quality textiles and fashion materials.

Trend-led sourcing will also take centre stage at the Intertextile Directions Trend Forum, which will preview textiles and accessories aligned with the Spring / Summer 2027 PARADOX theme. Nearby zones such as Premium Wool Zone and Verve for Design will host European exhibitors specialising in fine wool fabrics, distinctive weaves, and original print designs, supporting fashion brands as they develop upcoming seasonal collections.

Beyond fabrics, functional components and performance-enhancing materials will be featured at SalonEurope, where European suppliers will present protective textiles, insulation materials, and technical accessories used across fashion, lifestyle, and advanced textile applications. Together, these pavilions and zones reinforce the fair’s role as a comprehensive sourcing destination, combining design, performance, sustainability, and innovation across the global textile value chain.

The fair is co-organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, the Sub-Council of Textile Industry (CCPIT), and the China Textile Information Centre, and will take place alongside Yarn Expo Spring, Intertextile Shanghai Home Textiles – Spring Edition, CHIC, and PH Value, making Shanghai a focal point for global textile and apparel sourcing in March 2026.
