Company showcases hybrid, roll-to-roll and textile printing systems in Barcelona

Electronics For Imaging (EFI) is presenting a range of hybrid, roll-to-roll and textile inkjet printing technologies at FESPA Global Print Expo 2026, taking place from 19-22 May at Fira Barcelona Gran Via. The company is exhibiting at Hall 3, Stand C85.

Among the technologies being demonstrated are the EFI VUTEk M3h X hybrid LED printer, EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340 i8 eight-colour dye sublimation printer, EFI VUTEk X5r roll-to-roll LED printer and EFI VUTEk Q3h XP seven-colour hybrid printer. According to the company, the systems are designed to support sign and display production, textile printing and high-volume graphics applications.

“FESPA is a global meeting point for print innovation, and it’s the ideal platform to demonstrate how EFI technologies help our customers grow and adapt in an increasingly dynamic market,” said Frank Pennisi. “From soft signage to superwide production and high-end hybrid printing, our portfolio is designed to give print providers the flexibility and efficiency they need to stay competitive and profitable across every segment. We are especially excited to publicly launch two of our newest offerings, the VUTEk FabriVU 340 i8 dye sublimation and VUTEk M3h X hybrid presses here at FESPA, and how they help our customers put brilliance in motion.”

The EFI VUTEk M3h X hybrid printer is designed for board and roll printing within a single system and includes features such as white ink printing, multilayer printing up to nine layers and LED curing technology. The company stated that the printer supports production-level output while helping reduce operational costs and turnaround times.

Making its debut at the exhibition, the 3.4-metre EFI VUTEk FabriVU 340 i8 dye-sublimation printer is equipped with inline fixation and eight-colour printing capabilities. The system uses CMYK, orange, blue and optional light inks to expand colour gamut and improve colour accuracy for retail, event and branded applications.

According to Electronics For Imaging, the printer delivers up to 2,400 dpi resolution and supports production speeds of up to 375 square metres per hour. It is designed for polyester-based materials including in-store signage, point-of-sale displays, lightboxes and SEG wall graphics.

EFI is also showcasing the VUTEk Q3h XP hybrid LED printer in a seven-colour configuration with optional white and clear ink capabilities. The printer supports flatbed and roll-to-roll production for applications including retail displays, backlit graphics and exhibition materials.

The 5.2-metre VUTEk X5r roll-to-roll LED printer is additionally being highlighted for high-volume indoor and outdoor graphics production. The system includes automation features such as automatic Y-slitters, Smart Slide job collection and EFInsight cloud-based analytics.

The VUTEk X5r printer also includes the InSpec AI option, described by the company as an AI-powered quality control system that scans printed output during production to identify defects and reduce waste.

Beyond display graphics, EFI is also presenting developments based on its EFI Nozomi platform for signage, display graphics and corrugated packaging production. The company is showcasing the EFI Nozomi 17000 SD platform for signage applications and the EFI Nozomi 17000 LED platform for corrugated packaging and display production.

Textile applications displayed at the stand include the EFI Reggiani ecoTERRA water-based pigment ink solution, designed to reduce the need for pre-treatment, steaming, washing and stentering during textile production. EFI stated that the solution helps lower water, energy and chemical consumption while supporting on-demand production workflows.

The company is also presenting the EFI Reggiani ecoNEXT Plus industrial digital textile printer for direct-to-fabric pigment printing. The system features up to seven colours and integrates ink systems, fixation units and EFI Reggiani QUERY production analytics into a single platform.

FESPA Global Print Expo 2026 brings together more than 500 exhibitors and print professionals from multiple countries. EFI stated that visitors to its booth will be able to view application demonstrations and interact with technical specialists during the exhibition.
