New colour option brings updated design flexibility to bathroom interiors
Duravit has introduced a new Matt Black colour option for its Shower System Shelf 1050, expanding the design choices available for bathroom interiors. The new finish is designed to integrate with both light-toned and bold contemporary bathroom concepts while maintaining the product’s existing functional features.
The Shower System Shelf combines showerhead and hand shower, thermostat, shelf, and shower rail within a single integrated design. The new Matt Black finish adds a darker visual element intended to complement a range of bathroom styles.
According to the company, the system includes Click! technology, allowing users to control the water flow and volume of the showerhead and hand shower through the thermostat using a push-button mechanism. Users can also switch between consumers and three jet types for the hand shower. Temperature adjustment is managed separately through a dedicated thermostat handle, while knurled rotating knobs are designed to provide improved grip.
The shower system also includes multiple adjustment features. The showerhead can be tilted, the showerhead bracket is infinitely adjustable, and the rod itself can be swiveled. The thermostat housing features a scratch-resistant glass surface that also functions as a shelf for storing shower accessories.
A MinusFlow variant is available for reduced water usage. The company states that this option lowers throughput for the hand shower by up to 40 percent and for the showerhead by up to 60 percent. The EasyClean function is designed to allow limescale deposits to be wiped away more easily for simplified maintenance.
