Monforts is expanding its focus on key textile markets in Asia and Africa.
The German textile machinery maker will take part in events in Uzbekistan, Kenya and Pakistan.
The company sees strong growth in all three markets. Textile makers in these countries are investing in new machines. They are also looking to improve quality and save resources.
Monforts will meet customers and industry partners at three key events.
Monforts to Attend CAITME in Uzbekistan
Monforts will attend CAITME in Tashkent from September 8 to 10.
Thomas Päffgen, Area Sales Manager at Monforts, will represent the company. He will join local partner Textile Technologies & Services (TTS).
The companies will be at Stand B50-9.
Uzbekistan has made major changes to its textile sector. The country was once known mainly for cotton and yarn production.
Today, its textile sector covers many more stages. These include spinning, weaving, knitting, dyeing and garment making.
The country is also building large textile clusters. These clusters connect cotton farming with textile production.
Monforts already has machines working at several major textile mills in Uzbekistan.
Päffgen said Uzbekistan is moving into higher-value fabric production. He also pointed to growing demand for textile finishing.
According to Monforts, finishing is becoming an important part of the country’s textile growth.
Kenya Shows Strong Textile Potential
Monforts will also join a VDMA Textile Machinery Association delegation to Kenya.
Manfred Havenith, Area Sales Manager at Monforts, will attend a symposium in Nairobi.
The event will take place on September 30 at the Emara Ole-Sereni Hotel.
Kenya has a growing textile and apparel sector. The country has also built strong experience in garment production.
The industry faced several problems in the past. These included low cotton output, cheap imports and low investment.
The sector has since started to recover.
Kenya now wants to build a stronger local textile chain. This could create growth from cotton farming to finished garments.
The country also has a young workforce. Garment production provides jobs for more than 80,000 people in the formal sector.
Most of these workers are women.
Kenya also has experience in making apparel for global brands. Competitive labour costs are another advantage for the country.
Monforts sees further scope for growth in the Kenyan textile sector.
Pakistan Remains an Important Market
Monforts will next head to Pakistan.
The company will exhibit at Igatex 2026 in Lahore from October 15 to 18.
Monforts will join its regional partner Al Ameen at the event.
The companies will be at Stand F-2-09 in Hall 2.
Pakistan is an important market for Monforts. The country has a large textile manufacturing base.
Major textile centres include Karachi, Lahore and Faisalabad.
Many companies in these regions produce home textiles and denim. Several manufacturers also operate integrated production units.
Monforts continues to receive repeat orders from Pakistani textile companies.
Its machines are used in several textile processes.
These include stentering, sanforizing and dyeing.
The company’s key technologies include Montex, Monfortex and Thermex.
Monforts also supports customers with process trials. The company helps textile makers improve production settings and develop new fabrics.
Focus on Productivity and Resource Savings
Textile makers face growing pressure to improve productivity.
At the same time, they need to control costs. They must also reduce the use of energy and water.
This is creating demand for more efficient textile machinery.
Monforts is focusing on these needs in its target markets.
The company works with textile producers to improve production processes. It also helps customers test new fabric applications.
Its Advanced Technology Centre (ATC) in Germany supports trials and process development.
Monforts Strengthens Global Market Presence
The upcoming events will give Monforts a chance to meet textile manufacturers across three important markets.
Uzbekistan is building a stronger textile value chain. Kenya is developing its apparel industry. Pakistan remains a major textile production hub.
These changes are creating new opportunities for machinery suppliers.
Monforts plans to use CAITME, the Kenya symposium and Igatex to connect with customers and partners.
The company will focus on textile finishing, productivity and resource efficiency.
Its activities also show the growing demand for modern textile technology in emerging manufacturing markets.
