IFAT India 2026 has concluded in Mumbai. The event took place from 9 to 11 September at the Bombay Exhibition Centre.
The trade fair brought together more than 500 exhibitors from over 30 countries. It also welcomed 20,118 business visitors.
The event focused on water, wastewater, waste management and recycling. It gave industry members a place to meet, share ideas and explore new solutions.
Global Participation at IFAT India 2026
IFAT India 2026 featured six international pavilions. They represented China, Germany, Italy, South Korea, Norway and the Netherlands.
The event also had special pavilions for SWAN, IWA, ULBs, SMEs and start-ups.
Government bodies, local authorities and private companies took part in the event. Utilities, project developers and technology providers also attended.
Water and Waste Technologies
Many companies displayed new technologies at the show.
The solutions covered water treatment and wastewater treatment. They also included water reuse, digital monitoring and membrane systems.
Other technologies focused on waste collection and sorting. Recycling, biogas and energy recovery were also key areas.
Fornax displayed its R-MAX3300 system. It is designed for alternative fuel and raw material pre-processing.
NX Filtration presented its Integrated Rack for ultrafiltration systems. The system is designed to be compact and scalable.
Micro Transmission Systems showed its Back Rake Screen. The system helps remove solid waste from large channels and drains.
Fivebro Water Services displayed its SUMO-TESK range of pumps. These pumps are used in high-pressure water treatment applications.
Thermax presented Miracle. The system treats high-TDS water. It also aims to increase water recovery and reduce energy use.
Industry and Policy Discussions
The event also included a large knowledge programme.
Experts discussed water security and sanitation. They also covered waste management, recycling and resource recovery.
Other sessions focused on circular economy and climate-ready cities.
The Blue, Orange and Green Stages hosted several discussions. Speakers’ Corner also featured talks on water reuse and digital water management.
The All-India Institute of Local Self-Government held forums on urban services.
These sessions covered water, wastewater and sanitation. Solid-waste management was also discussed.
Buyer–Seller Meetings
Business meetings were another major part of IFAT India 2026.
More than 235 pre-scheduled Buyer–Seller meetings took place during the event.
The meetings connected exhibitors with buyers from India and other markets.
Buyers discussed project needs and technology options. They also explored service needs and possible partnerships.
Focus on India’s Environmental Infrastructure
IFAT India 2026 brought together public and private sector participants.
The event helped companies present new technologies. It also gave buyers a chance to study solutions for real projects.
The discussions focused on practical needs in water and waste management. They also covered recycling and resource recovery.
IFAT India will return to Mumbai from 29 September to 1 October 2027.
The next edition will again focus on water, wastewater, waste management, recycling and circular economy solutions.
